I want to share an email that I received last from one of our guest. This story inspired me and reminded me of how great it is to make real connections. Hello Imari,
My name is Ron Gary and I'm a huge fan of PlayDate! I have not been in awhile but I love to come to get my game on. My former co-worker 1st told me about it but I didn't have the time to come. But I finally said I want to go see what it's all about. Well I have a good story for you all and a thank you. Due to the Good Lord and your event, I met the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. Her name is Michelle and we met playing Scrabble last June at the 1st PlayDate I ever attended. It was funny because I met her through a friend of hers and she was helping her out with a word and I was disputing what she came up with. Then we all went outside to play Scrabble because it got a little crowded. We had a good time talking and exchanged information and e-mailed and called each other became fast friends. We saw each other again at another PlayDate and we had a good time playing Monopoly and Spades beating everyone down! Then we met a third time at PlayDate again and then I took her out for dessert at the Cheesecake Factory (the third time we was on ajc.com when they did the story on you all with us playing Spades beating everyone down again!) Then our friendship grew into something a lot more. I knew that this was the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with.
Well I'm going to propose to her on Saturday (I'm doing it at the top of Stone Mountain but she does not know that yet!), then we're going to come out to PlayDate to celebrate our engagement. We would love to meet you all personally just to say thank you! Because of The Lord and PlayDate, I found the one. He does work in mysterious ways. I had no idea I was going to meet my future wife there.
So again, we would love to meet you all. It's not hard to spot us because I'm 6'9" and she's 6'0". So it's a perfect match. Thanks.
